Closing a Fake Rescue - Sleepy Hollow Horse Rescue, Creston, WA

A large group of concerned citizens thought that the unsuspecting public should know more about Sleepy Hollow Horse Rescue and Sleepy Hollow Dachshunds in Washington State Northwest of Spokane, WA near Creston, WA. Many of us concerned citizens all feel that Sleepy Hollow Horse Rescue and Sleepy Hollow Dachshunds AKA Pinetree Hollow Dachshunds should be closed down immediately. (See update to right of this page.)

We ask that you no longer do business with them, Patt or Schak, either through the horse rescue or buying any dogs bred at the puppy mill housed at the farm. And please do not send them any more animals for their special, concentration camp kind of care.

These photos are from the Creston, WA, farm, not the Spokane, WA farm they lived until the summer of 2004. The "rescue's" physical address is: 37903 Pinetree Lane, Creston, WA, 99117. The phone number is 509-636-2401, but she changes it often. (See current phone numbr listed to right of this page in an ad selling Schak's puppy mill dogs.)

(UPDATE: This following site will no longer allow Schak to advertise her dogs at her puppy mill any longer.) And Schak was advertising her puppy mill dogs on www.puppyfind.com under Dachshunds in Washington state under Pinetree Hollow Dachshunds the last time I checked. She advertises dogs locally as well too in newspapers to sell her puppy mill dogs.

Please help me find any web sites where her puppy mill is being advertising too as she has dogs freeze to death at her home by leaving shorthaired wiener dogs outside in our harsh Winters in Washington state and has had parvo on her farm too with her animals. That kind of care by Schak and she still sells her dogs.

Many puppies have died in her care. How do I know? I rescue the breed of dogs she breeds. I have rescued 6 of her abused, unsocialized and unhappy dogs! (Update: Yet another of of her dogs was just rehomed! That makes seven of her dogs that aren't with their original owners now as of 2/28/06.)

Enough is enough. Someone had to take a stand. I did that. Or better yet, take a drive to the farm and see for yourself the conditions of the place unannounced and see if you would house pigs there much less any other animals. You can find the directions on Yahoo maps web site.

Ask Patt why she allowed this rescue to continue for years with conditions like these as seen in these photos and why she did not work much sooner to close down this rescue before many animals were maimed, killed, abused or neglected if she is a board member.

Patt finally gave evidence to the DA against Schak because she could see that enough of us were not going to allow them to abuse/kill/maim/starve animals any longer.

There are four pages of awful photos of their "rescue" and their poor animals on this site. They were taken Fall 2004 and early March 2005. Take a look at these photos and decide if these people actually like the animals in their care. That care depicted in most of these photos is from President Sarah Schak of her home because she lives at the garbage heap depicted in most of these photos at the Creston, WA at the address above.

And there has been numerous complaints filed against Schak and the rescue with the Better Business Bureau, and with the Secretary of State's Office and Department of Justice as well that regulate charities in this state. You can view the public records through the Freedom of Information Act at the local Attorney General's office in Spokane or have the records sent to you about how they conduct their business. Very, very interesting reading for any who care to research the business practices of Schak. Please see links to research this "business" for yourself.

To read more about how I was abused by Schak and Patt plus others who have had bad business dealings with them as well please read their testimonies as well as mine on page 2 of this site. More interesting reading so folks know this in not just a personal thing on my part.

Many others have had run-ins with Schak and Patt besides me and have filed police reports of stolen horses or starving horses given as donations or the conditions they witnessed, but I am just mad enough to program this web site and to continue to warn the public when many others are too afraid of them both to come forward even to the police. Both Schak and Patt are very big on threats, harassment, lies and intimidation of people they do not like including me.

If you too have had bad business dealings with Sleepy Hollow, Schak or Patt, please get in touch. You are not alone in the abuse from Schak and Patt too. We all urge you to come forward and contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office immediately.

Patt and Schak have filed false reports against my successful dog rescue with the Better Business Bureau. I have enlosed their reports and my reponse to them on this site as well. The BBB has closed the files against me. (Nice try again girls! I am still here even with harassment via government agencies as you have done to me for well over two years now.)

Patt and Schak also report me to the county animal control as often as possible as well. I am inspected as often as needed and guess what? I am still running my highly successful dog rescue and the ONLY comlpaints we have ever received have been from Schak and Patt. I have rescued SIX of Srah Schaks; puppy mill bred wiener dogs. Please do your research before buying any dogs please. Update: One of Schak's mentally ill dogs was turned into the shelter in the Spokane Valley here in the Spring of 2006, SCRAPS, so that makes another one of her dogs that have been rehomed since Schak started breeding dogs. I was a breeder of one or two litters of wiener dogs a year and would not breed any unless we had a waiting list for well over 25 years.

Not ONE of my dogs were ever given away as they were family members or turned back into me as a breeder as I saw them for years at horse shows and friends who still ask me to breed pups for them. I can't breed any more dogs while rescuing but I can re-home one of 47 dogs we found homes for in 2005 alone. I rescue dogs, but I do breed Morgan horses, a tiny breed of horses that less than 3,000 were registered in 2005. So yes, I do breed horses, only one to three foals a year although Patt and Schak thinks that is terrible I breed horses and rescue dogs. But I place my foals in proper homes with people who can afford to take care of them for their lifetime or I do not sell them unlike this fake rescue I have reported on here.
