Pet Fest at the Spokane Fairgrounds was held on May 21 & 22, 2005. There was 5,000 people through the doors
and we had the most popular booth. Because of contacts from this event we adopted seven needy wieners after we
did site visits with their new families. Thanks to all our helpful volunteers who helped Dachshund Rescue NW (DRNW)
adopt out those happy dogs to great families at Pet Fest 2005. Without your help we could not do large events like this
one every year.
And thanks again to all the Dachshund Club of Spokane (DCS) members who helped man the booth and care for the dogs while
Carolyn, Assistant Club and Rescue Director, and I were running the annual Wiener Dog Races both days. We had fun,
but I swear my feet still hurt from standing up all day for both days.
