Angus
"has enough mane for four horses" to quote our hay guy. His mane lays on both sides so not sure which way
it is going lately.
I take
a lot of photos of Angus for fun and I see him growing a ton every time I try to shoot his photos. First his rump shoots
up and then the rest catches up and he did that again in last fall and this spring. But with a smaller breeding
farm I should not keep three studs especially in this economy as much as we love this fun horse.
Angus is green broke only
and will be worked in 2012. If we have more training into him I will just end up keeping him for me, even if too small
he is that pretty.
Stud fees are only $600 for this stallion for a quality Morgan breeding horse
with excellent bloodlines. We do keep our prices reasonably priced so anyone can enjoy a quality and healthy Dragoon
foal. And we do stand our stallions to all breeds because we feel a half Morgan is better then a "no Morgan."
Breed to him now before his stud fee increases. He won two show titles in halter at two shows as a weanling and yearling and
then not shown afterwards due to my major major car wreck where I was not walking for a year and not riding enough
for almost three years. We like taking our time in training our own horses and not pushing them too young so they have
many years of being riding horses without injury.
We will obviously miss Angus too much, but we are looking for a home that needs a breeding
stallion and with someone who has some Morgan broodmares for him to save his bloodlines. We will retain breedings once
he is sold too so we ensure he stays a stallion with his looks, brains and papers. Some of his lines are older and slowly
disappearing so we want to make sure these lines continue.
TRAINING: Greenbroke to ride, lunges, long
lines, moves from pressures, walks around obstacles in hand or over as asked, backs, loads and hauls, ties, trims, stands
quietly for mane detangling, clips, poses, whoa, etc. Videos above show his manners.
Angus does have two Morab foals on the ground and they are adorable
babies. We did not have enough mares to breed to him but if not sold then we will work on buying him a few broodmares
so folks can see some of his lines in his babies.
WILL TRADE: For horse quality hay delivered, horse trailer,
hay trailer, etc. or something that does not eat. What do you have?
BREEDING DETAILS: All stud fees include 30 days free mare care and all the usual guarantees. We
do live cover with this sweet boy at the farm and might be offering AI down the road. We also offer returning
mare, multi mare and 4H discounts. The booking fee is $100 and that booking fee cost is included in the price of the
$500 stud fee. We are standing Angus to just three mares in 2010.
PRICE REDUCED: $4,000 for Angus. The more training the
more the price will go back up in 2012.
