MEMC TinselTown or Tio, SFG Morgans. Michigan
Dragoon Morgans & Studios
Pretty horse but too crazy to have foals!

MEMC TINSELTOWN - DO NOT BUY THIS HORSE!  HE IS TOO DANGEROUS TO BE A STALLION MUCH LESS A GELDING.
Here are the highlights:
We purchased this stallion on payments in May 2010 from SFG Morgans (Sunshine Farm and Garden) in Commerce Township, Michigan.  He arrived in May terribly wormy, skinny with ribs starting to show with ragged feet that had not been trimmed in months.  The horse is just plain crazy.
After he arrived Tio stallion then proceeded to attack our horses, dogs, our barn cat and people the longer he stayed from May through July.  We were lied to a LOT about Tio or we NEVER would of brought him here.  Tio is too dangerous, wild and crazy to ever be used as breeding horse.
We then told them if they did not take back their insane, nasty stallion that we would be forced to put him down as we would not be feeding a dangerous animal on our farm.  (Plus he was not eating.  See below.)  We could not resell him knowing Tio would injure people either.  Roxanne refused to take back her nasty horse thinking she dumped her mentally ill horse in WA state.  Sorry, but we do not breed insane foals here at our farm.  But they finally agreed to take him back after much arguing via email and after we paid his board bill here.  Plus we are out his shipping here and out the money for his ads for standing at stud too.  They will not refund ANYTHING on Tio and we did not breed one mare while here!
We then found a sweet cremello stallion in Washington state to buy instead of Tio.  Our Jay is calm, kind, sweet and happy with pretty and mellow foals.  We got Jay AFTER we realized how mental the palomino was.  We have bought Jay and he is our sweet pea who gives kisses to everyone who comes to visit.  But we had passed on buying Jay once because we had Tio on the way.  I changed that quickly once I met Tio and figured out within a week the horse was not even close as promised. Within a day of nasty Tio arriving I realized that the horse was mental after working horses for many years.
We could not use Tio as a breeding horse as we like happy foals here at our farm.  I also like horses that do not try to run people over and hurt them!  So they are telling people we dumped Tio because of Jay.  Actually I wanted to have them both here when I realized I could afford both of them.  But AGAIN, DO NOT buy this stallion from Roxanne Riggs.  They lied about him to get him off their farm.
Even with a lot of research we were the suckers to trust them while buying the horse sight unseen with references, etc.  Now they are very angry that we sent this vicious animal home so they have posted a slanderous letter on their web site on how we did all this to Tio. He did it to us and I had to get him off the farm as we have visitors every weekend all summer for our dog rescue at the horse farm. I could not chance anyone else getting hurt when Tio slammed into fencing and snaked over a fence and got a mare in the face.  The volunteer leading that mare was also injured and scared to death.
We were not told the horse was vicious of course.  We had to find out the HARD way.We rescue and retrain a lot of horses with issues here, but Tio is too mentally ill to stay a stallion.  I feel Tio will probably make a dangerous and nasty gelding too.  I am a dog and horse rescuer too and a trainer for 40+ years.  And I think Tio is too dangerous to keep a stallion after two months of working a horse I do not own so I had plenty of time to work him to know his true personality.  I strongly urged them to put Tio put down and a horse rescuer never says that statement lightly.  But I do not want Tio to injure any more people and animals hence this letter.
Of course he will be resold.  Roxanne Riggs will just lie to the next people AGAIN to get Tio off their farm.  But Tio should be humanly euthanized he is so dangerous and we do not need his kind of genetics in our Morgan gene pool. Plus Tio is too large for most people to handle safely now that he is 12 and very set in his ways thanks to his temper. FYI, Tio has had NO training and he has NO basic manners so he has to be drugged to be handled daily including wormed, caught, trimmed and to even breed with him or he will hurt your mares.   They also did not warn us to never take off his halter either so he would of had to been roped like a crazy cow using a snubbing post.  We had to drug him to catch him to get his feet trimmed, clean up a devil braid and get him loaded once he was wormed again.
So if you can afford a vet bill and drugs every time you want to handle this mess of a horse then by all means he might be your horse if you want a sperm receptacle like he was on the past farm.  But please they lied to us about him so now we are warning people.Tio should of been gelded years ago but they used him for breeding because he is a pretty boy.  But Tio has NO ground manners.  He also runs in circles even on a stud chain over his nose.  He is not broke to ride and never will be unless his spirit is completely broken is my thought because of his vicious temper the more I tried to work with him.  The crazy horse slams the metal fencing all the time too so hopefully whoever buys him has safe metal fencing panels for him like we did or major vet bills will ensue there too.  They sent a breeding muzzle which is actually a grazing muzzle for him.
They did say he “was a bit rough on mares which some stallions can be,” but after he attacked a mare just being led by his paddock that told me that was also a lie.  I would guess Tio is more than a rapist so if you like your broodmares then pass on him as a breeder for that reason too. This horse will hurt someone.  It is only a matter of time.  Now his owners who are trying to resell him are not telling people how dangerous he really is and making us out to be the bad guys here.  Fine as we did nothing wrong just had to deal with this mess once he was off the trailer.  So please help me spread the word about this horse and run from this farm and his foals. He is pretty so I am sure someone else will buy him like we did but beware of what you are looking at as they were not honest about how dangerous this horse is.

Yes we researched before buying, but only after he arrived did we find out he has had mentally ill foals as well yet they still use him as a breeding horse and now still reselling him as a stallion.  It is like playing Russian Roulette with Tio and his dangerous personality so what breeder who is slightly responsible would use this menace for breeding?

Finally, Tio was too mental to eat while he was here.  He would just scream for mares and bouncing off the fencing all day, etc.  He was nasty and just getting nastier the longer he stayed.  I have never seen a horse that would not eat even when he had access to lovely grass and alfalfa mixed hay at all hours and enough grain for his vitamins.  The more grain he got the hotter he got so we were forced to back off grain too.
Tio had access to vitamins, salt with selenium and minerals and all the fresh hay from this season he wanted.  We live in hay country and his hay bin was overflowing and being walked into the dirt.  He ignored the lovely food which is so beyond any horse and acting even slightly normal.  Yes Tio was thin when he went home and why we would of been forced to put him down if they did not take back this nasty horse.  He was not eating enough and running constantly.  The horse was starving himself to death.  A few more weeks and I would have had to put him down and pay on a contract for a horse that should not be alive.  But I could not afford that so was forced to send him home to the liars.

So please Do NOY BUY this horse.  I am sure they will just tell the next people he is "busy" like they told me. He is not just busy like a colt! So buyer beware as these folks will just dump him for money on some other sucker then get them hurt as well. Apparently not telling people about everything with Tio would mean he never would of been sold to us.  And we hope he stays there with those people as he seems happy in his old home and they made that mess by not getting Tio ANY training since he was a yearling.  Roxanne has had him 11 years and only used him infrequently as a breeding horse.  They have spent NO time with him according to some visitors as well as their neighbors.
Well we are well aware of why now this horse has been ignored, too dangerous to work him.If you want more details then email me: dragoonfr @ hotmail.com (remove the spaces before emailing).  We do have videos or photos of Tio while he was here plus many witness statements who saw how nasty and evil this horse is.  That information is now at our lawyer's place to see if we should sue them for lying about Tio's personality and recoup all our costs on this horse who should never be a stallion nor sold as such.   FYI, not all of Tio's foals are mentally ill like he is but some are.
Why take a chance when breeding to a nasty stallion when there are so many sweet, calm and kind horses with basic manners to choose from out there?  I can give you more details if you email me, but we hope you read this and pass on this horse or his offspring. And I am still shocked and saddened that ANYONE would EVER use MEMC TinselTown as a breeding horse despite his good looks and bloodlines.  And we hope his breeder in Texas is not producing any more foals like Tio either and selling them as stallions either.
He should have been gelded as a youngster with his nasty personality yet they also sold him as a breeding horse as a yearling.  Again, with so many nice stallions available why chance one that is pretty yet vicious unless you want vicious foals too?
Sincerely,
Margo

SEPTEMBER UPDATE:  Roxanne Riggs is now suing us for sending home her vicious and mentally ill stallion.  Stay tuned her for details.  We have never been sued before so this will be interesting so folks will realize EXACTLY who they are doing business with.  They have sold other horses that were misrepresented too so we shall see if we should counter sue in a class action lawsuit.
